AstraSync adds BlackBerry sync to Open-Xchange

Open-Xchange now offers over-the-air email, calendar and contact synchronization services to BlackBerry smartphone users using AstraSync.

Open-source collaboration software vendor Open-Xchange has launched OXtender for Business Mobility, which adds support for push e-mail to mobile phones that use Microsoft’s ActiveSync protocol.  The platform is available for the Server Edition and Appliance Edition of Open-Xchange.

BlackBerry smartphone owners with the AstraSync application installed onto their devices will enjoy two-way over-the-air synchronization of email, calendars and contacts between their BlackBerry device and their Open-Xchange servers.

Under the agreement between AstraSync and Open-Xchange, end users can receive a 5% discount on AstraSync subcriptions by obtaining a discount code from their hosting provider.
